I’ve recently started a new series of works that are drawn by hand stitching black thread into white paper. They are an absolute nightmare to do but I like the way the line is never properly curved, which is a similar way to the way a lot of my tape lines end up.
This one is going in a group show at Beers Contemporary in November.
Above is my third lightbox; entitled Albertine, that will be exhibited at The Mall Galleries in Trafalgar Square in November. I am one of Juror Elmo Hood’s nominated artists in the ING Discerning Eye Art Prize.
Black electrical tape on glass, encased in resin, and housed within bespoke lightbox.
I’m constantly reading, and when I’m not I’m doodling in book covers. Here is a sketch on the inside cover of Dubliners by James Joyce. Possibly going to turn this into a big linoprint or tape drawing.
Above is the work I will be showing in the Kunstsalon in Copenhagen next month, alongside an insane list of artists, including: Andrew Salgado, Jordy Kerwick, Kevin Perkins, Laurie Vincent, Jonathan Edelhuber, Sam Bassett, Spencer Shakespeare, Jenny Lundgren, Thom Trojanowski, Ellison Sean, AJ Katz, and loads more.
I’m about to launch a a new roving gallery in East London and I’m very excited about it. We (Delphian Gallery) have been curating exhibitions for the past 4 years, but are about to relaunch with our first show in partnership with theprintspace in Hoxton.
